Dr. Mark Flynn

MBBS(UWA),FRACGP,MBA(UWA)

A local UWA graduate, Mark has worked for several decades in medical centres and hospitals across Perth. In addition, he has had involvement with charity fundraising and as a medical volunteer overseas.  

Special interests include family medicine, children, aged care and chronic disease management. He also performs minor surgical procedures.

Dr Thuy Ainscow

BSc (Med), MBBS, FRACGP

Dr Thuy Ainscow has been a GP for more than 20 years in Murdoch and UWA. She enjoys all aspects of general practice. Her special interests are in Mental health, Women’s health, Gynae and Obstetrics, Pediatric care,  Adolescence health, Skin and Weight management. Dr Ainscow has children of her own and her compassion and nurturing nature reflects this.

Dr Adina Codreanu

MD, FRACGP, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFPRH

Adina worked as a rural GP in South West WA for over 10 years prior to moving to Perth. She obtained a Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the UK in 2005 and a Fellowship of the Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008. Adina has various postgraduate qualifications, including the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (UK), the Diploma of Family Planning and Reproductive Health (UK), with Competency in the Insertion of Intrauterine Devices and the Certificate of Diabetes Care from Warwick University. Adina has additional training in mental health and young people’s health. She is a member of the the Western Australian Medical Assistance Team and participates in deployments for disasters within WA.

In her free time, Adina enjoys traveling and learning new languages. She speaks Romanian, French, Italian and is studying Spanish.

Dr Maryellen Yencken

Dr Yencken (MB BS FRACGP MACLM) graduated from UWA in 1989 and acquired extensive hospital experience before entering into General Practice in 1997. Dr Yencken became a principal partner of the practice in 2000. ​ She enjoys applying her knowledge to the vast medical conditions that accompanies being a generalist.

In particular, she enjoys managing the complexities of the medical care of her patients alongside engaging in collaborative discussions with her patients about their care. ​ Dr Yencken has an interest in performing health care management plans, 45-49 year old health checks, surgical removal of minor skin cancers and performing iron infusions . She has past experience in acupuncture . ​ Dr Yencken is married with a husband and two teenage boys. She is passionate about the environment, is a vegetable gardener, cook, learns French, and is an advocate for Pilates and yoga.

Dr Shannon Ballard

Dr Ballard (MB BS BSc FRACGP) completed her medical degree at UWA in 1997, after previously graduating from UWA with a Bachelor of Science (majoring in pathology and microbiology). She worked at Fremantle Hospital for two years, prior to taking a short break  to have her first child. During this time, she also did casual work at the Rockingham Hospital Emergency Department.

She then commenced  her GP training in 2001, and became a fellow of the RACGP in 2004. She joined the Leeuwin Medical Group shortly after having her second child, where she has been working ever since.

Shannon  has an interest in women’s health, and is competent with contraceptive implant insertion and removal. She also enjoys seeing children and is a  certified “Youth Friendly Doctor”. Her other special interests include mental health and minor procedures.

Shannon is married with two daughters, and outside of work spends much of her time involved with her daughters’ sporting commitments, whilst trying to fit in time for exercise, family, friends and relaxation!

Dr Raphael Beilin

Dr Beilin (MB BS FRACGP) was born in England and moved to Australia at the age of eight. He attended Hollywood High School and   graduated  as a doctor from University of Western Australia in 1991. He has  been working as a General Practitioner since 1995, having spent 14 years in Leeming and the past 8 years in Palmyra with Leeuwin Medical Group. He is interested in all facets of General Practice and has a special interest in travel medicine and preventative health. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing the violin, travelling, reading  and keeping fit. 

Dr Jacqueline Frayne


Dr Frayne (MB BS DRANZCOG FRACGP MMed GCIM) has been a practising GP for over 20 years and as well as general medicine, has an interest in all aspects of women’s health, including perinatal mental health, infant and child health. She also works at King Edward Memorial Hospital and The University of Western Australia.

Dr Frayne is currently studying a PhD in perinatal mental health and is an active examiner for the College of GPs. Dr Frayne is recognised for her expertise in women’s health. She is happily married and has one teenage son.

Dr Anita Manes

Dr Manes (MB BS FRACGP) joined Leeuwin Medical Group in 2003. She enjoys all elements of family practice from the care of a newborn and new parent worries, to snotty preschoolers, challenging teenagers, sports injuries, preventative care, women’s health, chronic illness, depression and anxiety, to the complex care of octogenarians . ​

Perth born, she studied locally at UWA and worked at Fremantle Hospital for 3 years, spending time in specialties of Emergency, coronary care , oncology, infectious diseases, paediatrics , and surgery. She completed her RACGP training in 2002 after spending time in Pinjarra, Rockingham, Broome and Albany.

She worked at Murdoch GP After hours for 3 years and enjoys teaching medical students. ​ Outside of Leeuwin she is kept busy by her footballer husband, 2 high school aged children and 2 dogs. Together with her family, she loves the great outdoors of her wonderful city and state. In her alone time she reads and practices yoga.

Dr Edwina Allan

Dr Allan (MB BS FRACGP DCH) graduated from UWA in 2001. Prior to General Practice, she gained broad experience at SCGH, KEMH, PMH and Alice Springs Hospitals. She obtained a Diploma of Child Health in 2006 and Fellowship of the RACGP in 2007. She has worked in Travel Medicine.

She joined Leeuwin Medical Group in 2008. She is interested in the health of all ages and stages, but in particular: women’s and children’s health, family planning and contraception, including Implanon insertion and removal, travel medicine/ vaccination and diabetes. She enjoys being a mum of three young children and likes to find time for Pilates, walking and cycling.

Dr Chris Donisi

Dr Donisi (MB BS FRACGP) graduated from UWA in 2006, and has been working in General Practice since 2010. He enjoys the wide range of presentations seen in General Practice and the continuity of care General Practice offers.

He has a particular interest in skin cancer diagnosis and surgery, other minor surgical procedures, men’s health, preventative medicine, cardiovascular disease, geriatric medicine and paediatrics. Dr Donisi is also experienced in Implanon insertion. Prior to entering General Practice he worked at Fremantle Hospital, completing terms in emergency medicine, general medicine, paediatrics, orthopaedics, general surgery, psychiatry, cardiology, neurology and gastroenterology.

He has completed the Certificate of Dermoscopy with the Skin Cancer College of Australia. He also spent time at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, completing terms in neurosurgery, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine and rehabilitation medicine. Dr Donisi has also worked in Broome in General Practice and Emergency Medicine.

He is married with two children. Interests outside of work include surfing, diving and travelling.
